Ideas for upcoming speakers?

After this week's class, we'll begin a four-week period in which we talk about the changes under way in the worlds of beat reporting, political satire, ethnic press and international reporting. We have a speaker for our international reporting session. It's Marjorie Miller, former foreign editor for the LA Times and now a member of the Opinion page.

If you have someone from the LA area you'd like to hear from on the other topics, give us a holler.

I wonder if Mónica Lozano of La Opinion would be willing to talk about her own media operations and how she sees she will weather the storm. A group of us at Annenberg just saw her, and her perspective is very interesting.

I agree with Claudia. I'd love to hear Monica Lozano's perspective. And here's a flyer (and probably wishful thinking): How about Dean Singleton? I think he's based in Denver, but I suspect he gets out to SoCal regularly. ... And Andy Malcolm would be a hoot. Talk bout embracing new media.
